Reporting Live, From 2018!

Wow, I haven’t written or published a blog post since last year! Ha!

Get it?

Because it’s 2018?
And this is the first post of the year?

This is why I’m not a stand-up comedian.

Moving forward.

When I originally wrote this post, I had a whole list of resolutions that I wanted to share. From dedicating myself to the gym to finally budgeting myself better, I was so sure that the list I created was what I wanted to pursue in 2018. Whatever was on the list were some standard expectations anyone would have.

I don't want 2018 to be just 'standard.' I want 2018 to be more than ever before!

So, naturally, that whole list changed in a matter of a few days.

Instead, I have one resolution that I’m going to hold myself accountable for in 2018. Yes, just one single resolution. This is not a trick.

And yes, I’m going to stick by it.

I swear.

My one and only resolution for 2018 is to treat myself better.

To be a healthier version of myself.

From my eating habits and working out to the type of people I let into my sphere, the type of energy I want to manifest in 2018 is healthy, happy, and golden vibes.

I need to expand my culinary skills in order to fuel my body with food that’s better for me.

I need to take all the work out plans I’ve pinned on my Pinterest boards and actually utilize them.

I need to stay away from people who only spread negativity and try to bring me + others close to me down. (Seriously, doesn’t it get exhausting to rain on everyone’s parade?)

I plan to treat myself better than I ever have this year. That's the only way this year won't be another 'standard' year.

I want to be glowing by the time I ring in 2019, and not just because my Anastasia highlight’s on point!

This year is the year of happiness.

I swear by it.

Happiness is not a destination; it’s a state of mind, and I plan to keep that type of positive energy flowing within these next 12 months and, of course, the rest of my life!

To anyone and everyone reading this entry, I hope you try your best to be your best self this year.
I hope you aim to do good, rather than to settle for less than you deserve.
I hope you channel your energy into something worthwhile than something that is mentally and emotionally draining.

May 2018 be full of blessings.
